In store this week

New products!

We are thrilled to have just added a vegetarian savory croissant to the case: mushroom & gruyere. In addition, we have re-introduced the brioche from our new supplier, Elizabeth St Cafe. The pastry is delightfully light and airy with gorgeous flavor.

Of course we still have the favorites! The almond croissant takes a new direction with a lovely almond frangipani filling.

And macarons, you know they are not going away. Enjoy!

Summer is still humming

And we are still loving all the berries available.  See the pic we snapped this morning of the delectable lemon & blueberry macaron (yes, there are fresh blueberries in that buttercream!).  Later this week we will have some pomegranate orange love.

Also? we restocked with lots of the amazing Confituras Bourbon Peach Jam. Heaven and a hiccup!

4th of July (yes, we are open)

Well, we had to do it, yes. Our macaron seasonal flavor this week is going to be Cherry Limeade. The all-American flavor goes a little French.

Before they disappear into the mouths of new fans (and our staff) come grab some Bananas Foster. And just for grins we took on Orange Creamsicle.

We also have the amazing summery delight: Texas peach soda.  Mixed to order from a yummy local peach syrup and Tope Chico.  It will make you smile.

Finally, in case you haven’t seen all our jubilant Facebook posts, Dai Due’s Pimento Cheese is back. We will be featuring it every week on our vegetarian sandwiches (check Facebook or give us a call to see if it’s available that day) . This is the mother of Pimento cheeses — Sweet Ringo Peppers (JBG) and Stryck cheddar and pepper jack, bound with homemade olive oil mayonnaise and spices. Heaven sent.

Summer is coming!

Oh what fun we’ve been having with all the berries so far. And we cannot wait for the amazing Fredericksburg peaches to arrive so we can once again turn them into yummy macarons and then peachy syrup for our soda.

Meanwhile, enjoy the berries while they last!

If getting to our location on South Lamar is challenging, you can also have our macarons delivered if you sign up for the weekly or bi-weekly local food deliciousness from Farmhouse Delivery.

We also rolled out a couple of new flavors this week: white chocolate buttercream and matcha green tea (from our local tea purveyor, Zhi Tea). Have to say, the green tea macarons are heavenly (and conveniently, therapeutic).
